In unrelated news...

Austin and I are headed to New York tomorrow!  The Focolare Movement is celebrating its 50th anniversary of being in North America, and it's being marked with a couple of large-scale events this weekend.  It's going to be like a big family reunion!  I can't wait to introduce Austin to all the people I've been telling him about for years... and vice-versa.

We are uber bummed that I screwed up the plane tickets and we won't be able to attend the Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral on Sunday.  I'm not sure, but I'd imagine Uncle Mike Bishop Mulvey will be concelebrating, and that's always something both of us look forward to.  C'est la vie!

We've been working really hard over the last two months to prepare a lot of the video elements for Saturday's event.  It's been a great experience, but has fried a nerve or two while trying to stay on top of that big responsibility after having been presented with an adoption and all that that entails. (Was that sentence long enough?)

So while we are so excited for the trip, we are also secretly ready for it to be over so we can get home and start concentrating on Baby Girl!  But that's a perfect example of why that's why the tagline of this blog is what it is.
